Mining in the Carolinas

The popular US state “Carolina” is quite famous for its gold mines. Gold was first time discovered in US at Reed Gold mine which is located in North Carolina. There are many other gold mines in Carolina and according to a study there are approximately 300 gold mines in this area. Isn’t it amazing? No doubt it is!!

The gold that comes from these mines is used to import/export trading, used to make designer jewelry, and sold to banks.

North Carolina Gold sites:

There are 34 countries in North Carolina that have Gold mines. Some of them are Alamance, Avery, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell and Catawba. Heavy gold deposit concentrations occur between Morganton and Rutherfordton, in whole Gastonia, all around Charlotte, and near Concord, Salisbury, Albermarle, Lexington, High Point, Asheboro, Robbins, Chapel Hill and Burlington. Gold is also found near Andrews in Cherokee County that was commercially mined three times in history.
Not only this, gold is also found in high concentrations all around South Carolina.
South Carolina Gold sites:
There are 130 gold mines in South Carolina and according to studies; gold is found in abundance in 18 countries of South Carolina. Some of these countries are Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chesterfield, Fairfield and Greenville. Gold was found first time in South Carolina in Tanyard pit which is located at Brewer Gold Mine in Chesterfield Country.
